A 5 km (3.1-mile) run and walk for women only. Starting and finishing at the State Capitol in Sacramento. Both races are ChampionChip timed to ensure quick and accurate race results.

Directions & Parking

Directions, 1-5 Construction and Race Day Parking:
The event is at the west steps of the State Capitol at 10th and Capitol Mall in downtown Sacramento. Important: there is a major construction project underway and I-5 northbound through downtown Sacramento will be closed race weekend. The directions below are based on information posted on the I-5 construction web site, www.fixI5.com.

From Westbound Hwy 50/Business 80 (Roseville, Folsom, El Dorado Hills, etc.):
Exit Hwy 50/Bus 80 westbound at 16th Street. Go north on 16th to L Street. Go west (left) on L Street to city parking garage at 10th & L ($5 flat fee)—OR—turn right on Capitol then left on 17th to new city garage ($2 flat fee, 1/2-mile from west steps of the Capitol).

From Northbound 1-5 (Pocket area, Laguna, Stockton, etc.):
Exit I-5 northbound at Q Street*; continue east on Q to 16th Street. Turn north (left) on 16th to L Street. Go west (left) on L Street to city parking garage at 10th & L ($5 flat fee)—OR—turn right on Capitol then left on 17th to new city garage ($2 flat fee, 1/2-mile from west steps of the Capitol).
*The Q Street exit from northbound I-5 is scheduled to be open on June 8. Please confirm this at www.fixI5.com before race day.

From Southbound I-5 (Natomas, Woodland, or Roseville/Rocklin via I-80):
Exit I-5 southbound at J Street. Continue east on J Street to 12th Street. Turn south (right) on 12th to L Street. Turn right (west) on L to city parking garage at 10th & L ($5 flat fee)—OR—continue east on J Street to 17th. Turn south (right) on 17th to new city garage ($2 flat fee, 1/2-mile from west steps of the Capitol).

From Eastbound Bus-80/Hwy 50 (West Sacramento, Davis, Bay Area):
Stay right from I-80 to Hwy 50/Bus 80 in West Sacramento (toward South Lake Tahoe, NOT Reno). Exit Hwy 50/Bus 80 at 16th Street. Turn left (north) on 16th to L Street. Go west (left) on L Street to city parking garage at 10th & L ($5 flat fee)—OR—turn right on Capitol then left on 17th to new city garage ($2 flat fee, 1/2-mile from west steps of the Capitol).

Traffic and Parking Notes:

• Please plan to arrive by at least 7 a.m. Earlier is better! Expect heavy traffic on area streets and parking lots.
• Parking meters are not enforced on Sundays; however, there is NO PARKING on L or N Streets around Capitol Park.
• Light Rail will operate race day. Consider using this transportation alternative. Visit www.sacrt.com for routes and schedules.
